The hike to the fire road was gorgeous. Several shady parts and flowing streams. The bugs were certainly out and fierce, but my bug netting helped tremendously.
The hike to the fire road was pretty moderate and nothing too strenuous. Once you reach the fire road towards the peak, the real climb starts. The last couple of miles are essentially where all the elevation gain occurs. It’s quite steep and a nice workout!
Once you reach the summit, the 360 views are remarkable. We did a longer path to to add some mileage to the hike. All in all, a very relaxing and peaceful hike.
