The 12.7-mile Icehouse Canyon to Cucamonga Peak Trail – with Halloween costumes. An absolutely beautiful Southern California trail that starts as a stroll through a beautiful lush valley. As you climb, the views of the San Gabriels and Mount Baldy get more beautiful. After Icehouse notch, the trail gets narrow, with steep drop-offs most of the way. The views from the peak are sweeping: Mount Gorgonio, San Jacinto, and Saddleback. On a clearer day, you can likely see the ocean. I got back in the dark (the days are so short now) but didn’t need our headlamps.
