Mt Diablo
What a great day to hike Diablo. It was warmer than expected but still very nice. Diablo can be brutal, but it’s worth it.
The lower trails had a few shallow creek crossing and the upper levels had A LOT of torn up underbrush from wild pigs, on all sides of the mountain. A few areas overflowing onto the trails Must be a lot of pigs up there. I’m sure the Mt Lions enjoy them.
It was so clear you could see the Sierras covered in snow ftom the upper trails
Otherwise, great conditions. Saw more fellow hikers on the trails than I expectedThe hike down while mostly service road has some amazing views, along with a VERY fast descent.
I started at Back Creek and did the Mitchel Loop, going clockwise.
