Fun hike. Very unexpected ending. I've done a few scrambles before, but I've never seen ropes set up in advance to be used by anyone before like that. That was cool. It was raining a little, so it was pretty wet and slippery, so the rope grabs really did help a lot. Wish I had brought gloves!

Right before I got to the summit a cloud rolled in and surrounded us, and there was no view, but I waited at the top for about 30 minutes, and eventually the fog passed, and reveled the view below. Definitely worth the wait! Awesome view.

For extra mileage I walked around Lake Crescent and did a bit of the Falls Creek trail too, it's just such a long drive out to the Olympics you gotta make the most of it 😛 But I'm thankful for an excuse to come out here, it sure is a treat.
