This was a fun hike with a high intensity finish that got my heart pounding. It is my second freehike in this years SoCal challenge. As I drove to the trailhead, I was in a cloud. I was expecting a chilly hike with no visibility. But just before getting to the trailhead I rose above the clouds and was impressed by the view looking down on the cottony tops of the clouds. Above the clouds, the sun was intense and it was quite warm. Going mid-week, I mostly had the trail to myself.
