It was a beautiful clear day, I couldn’t have asked for better conditions. This was my first time doing this hike so I had downloaded the al trails maps before leaving and I am glad I did because I managed to go off trail twice, once early on when I hiked up a steep snow mountain where there were lots of foot prints, and the second time when the trail split and continued straight instead of up for mountain bikers. Oh well, it was beautiful and I wanted more than a 7 mile hike anyways:)
