Had planned to hike a different peak, but with a high wind advisory for the Los Angeles Mountains, I went with plan B.
The high wind advisory was expiring at noon, so I headed to Strawberry Peak for a 12:30 start.
The weather and hike were great. The scrambling was fine, just slow going on the decent.
Meet a couple of nice hikers at the top. One showed me the “Hiking Project” app. that he uses.
I downloaded the app, and it looks really promising. There are some things that I don't like about All-Trails,
that don't seem to be an issue with this app, but have yet to test it on trail.
