Hiked early in the morning, a bit chilly. Snow on the trail in parts, other parts of the trail were washed out from recent rains. Lots of sharp bushes and yucca surrounding the trail, I'd wear long pants and a long-sleeve shirt or risk getting some nasty scratches.

Were any of the snowy parts slippery? (Debating what gear to bring when I do it Tuesday)
Nothing we encountered should require special foot gear. Hiking poles are of course helpful. I’d recommend following a trail map (like All Trails), there is a split and the obvious looking fork to the right isn’t the right way, got to go up a bit of a concealed trail.
