Driving up Angeles Crest we low visibility driving through the clouds but once at higher elevation, the clouds were magical to look down on from the trail. We started just before 7am and easily found parking. Going up was mostly shaded. Saw two runners and just few hikers. The last mile of climbing was the real challenge with sections vertical but doable. Views along the route are stunning. Perfect weather and conditions! Poles helpful on the strep downhill sections. Occasional scrambling but nothing crazy. As we descended we saw tons of hikers out on the trail. All shaded areas were now exposed by sun. Loved this hike!
