First time hiking Strawberry Peak, took my best co-worker/friend. Started out at around 0800hrs, had a little confusion when we reached the first firebreak and were not sure if that was the trail, but while looking on the All Trails map we saw the trail was just to the left of the fire break. This part of the trail was really nice in the morning, mostly flat, shady, and beautiful. We encountered a few patches of hard snow that we crossed over without any issues. After this trail that took us around the mountain, we approached a steep, but small hill with a sign at the base, “Strawberry” but it was sort of posted in the middle of 2 different trails. We took the steep trail after seeing some hikers that went ahead of us take that route. My All Trails map confirmed it was the trail that was highlighted on the map, however, it was also the fire break. The map showed Strawberry Peak trail was actually to the left of the fire break. We took the highlighted fire break and it was steep and hard, but it was also fun having to scramble around some boulders. Got back to the car before 3, but only because we took it very very slow on the way down because my friend didn't have proper shoes. 10/10, would hike again!

Thank you for posting. Hoping to get up to Strawberry before the next snow fall. So glad to hear you made it without any issues even on the hard snow.
