After discovering that Sawmill was impassable due to snow and ice, Strawberry peak became our back up summit of the day. We weren't entirely prepared for the LA heatwave bringing 90 degree temps but it did cool off as we moved up the mountain. The hike is very mellow up until that last mile which felt like all the elevation gain began. The views from the top presented downtown LA, PV and Catalina all in the distance.
