This trail, a lot like Sitton Peak, gets rough at the last mile or so portion. I can see why people recommend the hiking poles, although I like to hike with less cargo. Not bad views at all, downtown, Mount Wilson, I think I was even able to see the snow from the mountain resorts in Wrightwood.
