Wow!  Strawberry Peak is a fun little hike.  I followed the SOCALHiker trail guide for Strawberry Peak.  This was my first time hiking on this trail, and I was pleasantly surprised.

The first few miles were super easy and enjoyable.  The last grind (ascent) to the top really got the heart pumping.  The trail seemed to be in perfect condition (not overgrown, not muddy, not too rocky, etc.).  The American Indian Cultural Center / Store at the trail head was a nice treat.

It's too bad this trail is a bit of a drive for me.  I could easily see adding Strawberry peak as a mid-week / after-work option if I lived closer.  I think I'll try the Colby Canyon route next time.
