Started early in the morning forgetting that it's still March and might be cold; good thing my partner, i.e. daughter, had an extra jacket and gloves!
Great training hike, similar to Baldy summit trail (steep at the end) but with less elevation gain and shorter distance!
Windy day provided 360 views to the ocean and vastness of surrounding forest.
Vehicles racing on roads below created sound of speedway echoing in canyon!
Great fellow hikers on trial, everyone encountered was polite and friendly.
I think this is a good first hike in training for Baldy summit, Half Dome, Grand Canyon….
