We started the hike around 7:30am and we were one of three cars in the parking lot. The trailhead was easily accessible and well marked across the highway. Initially, it was windy but after a couple of miles it died down. As we reached the junction for Strawberry Peak/Strawberry Meadow we decided to add on a few miles and head down to the meadow. It was worth it as the views on our way down were spectacular. We saw a small waterfall and a woodpecker pecking on a tree on our way. Once we made it to the meadow, we headed back up to the saddle and continued to the peak. The hike up to the peak was a bit more strenuous than we had anticipated. With each ascent, we kept thinking we had arrived and it was a false peak. After descending and ascending a few times, we made it to the actual peak and we were pleasantly surprised and rewarded with the beautiful and clear views surrounding us. Overall, the weather was optimal for this peak and it was a great adventure!
