Between the loose rocks during the first 3 miles and snow/ice/slush during the next 3.5 miles to the summit, this was one of the hardest hikes I've done. Definitely make sure you have the proper footwear and hiking poles. The scenery is gorgeous, the view at the summit is breathtaking, and the the pain is definitely worth the sense of accomplishment!
