We hiked to the summit on a Friday. Parking was not an issue; we arrived at 930am. Very few people on the trail and fire road. I'm a newbie hiker and the hiking part of the trip was just under 5 hours. We stayed at the summit for a while enjoying the panoramic views. Lots of wildflowers, including a species of manzanita with purple-pink flowers. The weather was perfect, about 55 degrees average and almost no wind. I appreciated the tip to check out mountain-forecast, which showed the wind to be much gustier on some surrounding dates. My son's homemade cookies at the summit were a must! The views were astounding – no pictures can do them justice!
