Today's weather for hiking San Jacinto was perfect. I started at 5:15am at the Deer Springs trailhead in Idyllwild. I ascended via Dear Springs and descended via Wellman Divide. The trail was in good condition and I had great views when there wasn't cloud cover. It was a warm day but really pleasant at high elevations. When I summited, there was a cloud on the top, so I didn't get good views from there, but I did get great ones a little farther down on Wellman Divide. The trail was not busy today. I mainly encountered people when my trail intersected with the tram trail. Otherwise, I was mostly by myself.
