Hike Log

Suffering on Sitton

Trailhead:

Sitton Peak Truck Trail

Type of Hike:

Day hike

Trail Conditions:

Minor obstacles posing few problems

ROAD:

Road suitable for all vehicles

Bugs:

Bugs were terrible

Snow:

Snow free

The trail is super green so there are lots of bushes and flowers that are leaning into the trail. They are easy to go through but recommend pants and a long sleeved shirt as I came home with lots of scratches.

We started at 8 which meant we had a nice, cool hike for the first 4 miles and then hit the sun right in time for the climb up to the peak. Start earlier if you can.

It was sunny with 8 million bugs which were not afraid to bite and bite hard! Deet seemed to be attractive to them but Repel worked on my legs (thanks to a stranger for letting me borrow some!). Hats with bug netting is highly recommended!!

Sandwiches, cold drinks and candy at the. Andy shop was a nice treat after the hike!!!!
