We got to the parking lot around 7am and it was pretty empty. We started hiking around 7:30am and although it was overcast it was pretty warm. T^he first thing we noticed on this hike was how many wildflowers were out. It was very pretty but also the trail was gettin overgrown in parts. Even though it was pretty warm I kept my long sleeves and pants on to keep from getting scratched up by the branches. For the most part this hike was pretty easy. The last marker at about 0.36 miles to the peack is when it got really steep and the sun started to peek out and then so did the bugs. But the sun went away pretty quickly and so did the bugs. There is very little room at the peak so we ate our snacks pretty quickly and descended. This was our second hike so it was another good one to ease in to the rest.
