Got off to a late start for this particular hike (6:30am), I've climbed it a few times in winter but full June sun was pretty intense in the morning hours! As usual, the hike is pretty easy and a nice open desert stroll up until the very last part before the summit, where it transitions to light scrambling over rock (trekking poles recommended to help maintain your pace). The summit had a nice breeze, but very light, and unfortunately there were quite a few bugs up there so hanging out isn't recommended.
In these warmer months, I would recommend at least 2L of fluids if you're attempting it in the morning, and would avoid it entirely in the afternoon hours. It is fully exposed with zero shade, and you will be sweating. Cell signal is reliable on the entire hike.
