This is less helpful two months after the fact, but the hike was steep but easily navigable. There were patches where the path was wet from run-off near the bottom and a few mounds of snow that were easy to cross near the top ( I imagine by this point everything has melted). We set off at 3 a.m. thinking we could summit by sunrise, but navigating in pitch black was slower than anticipated. Still made more than half the ascent by the time those beautiful reds and oranges crept over the skyline, and we were well above the clouds by then, so the view was breathtaking. Of course we took numerous photos on the rock formation at the top; that's a given.
