After overnight rains left the sky clear and bright, we got great views from the top in all directions. We were hoping some of the rain might have turned to snow near the peak, but didn't see any. The path/road to the summit was dry and easy going despite the heavy rains, and after setting out before sunset at 6:30, we reached the peak by around 8 a.m. I definitely suggest looking for the yellow pedestrian crossing sign to find the parking if you're coming up from the Calistoga direction in the dark, because we tried using Google Maps with an address we found online and it almost had us drive off the road into a ravine (it's dark up there!) Also there are a few different trail branches near the top that make it difficult to find the true peak, but just keep forking to the right and you'll be on the right path.
