We pulled into the parking lot a 5.30am and there were only 3 other cars parked up. This was a pleasant surprise. Throw the boots on and let’s get moving!
The sun was just making it’s way up and over the Santa Ana Mountains. Spectacular sunrise with some fiery clouds in the distance.
Sitton is a moderate hike with some flat sections to cruise as the trail winds it’s way through some low level washes before heading out and up to the summit at 3273ft.
From the peak there are excellent views of the Cleveland National Forrest, Saddleback and the Santa Ana Mountains.
