This was my 3rd peak in the challenge and my first time doing a sunset & sunrise combo hike. I finished Mailbox at 12:40am and started Mount Si at 6:00am. Definitely could have used more sleep…
Beautiful day for a climb in the low 70's. I only 2-3 other climbers that early on a Monday. I made it to the summit around 8:30am and attempted the haystack, but didn't feel 100% safe so I only went halfway and then started hiking down.
Beautiful views of Rainier and lots of friendly hikers today.
