The weather was perfect, the last time I did Sitton it was Summer this was so much better.
The last 0.4 miles was brutal as ever, this time with muddy sand and loose rock while climbing straight up.
I've never seen Sunset from the peak, and the glow of the sun over the ocean was just spectacular. However, this meant I was racing against the setting sun all the way back and still ended up in darkness the last 1.5 miles.
Bugs were minimal, parking was easy. Its definently a great Socal peak without the dramatic drive time.
Total trail time was around 6 hours, I recommend starting by 10am if you dont want to night hike.
