What an unexpected gem this hike was! Trail was very well maintained and easy to follow. The hike boasts views and gorgeous Oak Trees and manzanita. We were fortunate to hike when the lupin was in bloom as well which we loved.
This was my first hike back after my knee surgeries and it felt fantastic to hike again!
I recommend starting the hike early in the morning to avoid high noon/high heat/peak sunshine. It was windy at the top which was refreshing after the uphill potion of the climb to the summit. I recommend at least 1L of water per person for this hike. We hiked it it in just under two hours. Weather was 66F to 75F for us.
