My afternoon meeting cancelled so I decided to climb Baden-Powel! Set off from Vincent Gulch around 2:30p and mostly had the mountain to myself. It was breezy and comfortable for the most part in the shade of the switchbacks of which there are many (something like 40). I throttled back as this is my first hike of the season over 6k and I didn’t want to overdue it. I ended up feeling great after I acclimated the first 1/4 mile. Had a run in with a deer and took the beautiful detour out to Lamel spring on my descent. Just a beautiful hike. It’s going to be tough to beat.
