Well, I had typed up a nice long story, but I accidentally closed the page and had to start over, twice! So, since I'm pretty frustrated with myself, as well as lazy and tired from the hike, I'll only repeat the important part.
Water levels are very important to be aware of since you need to cross Coyote Creek twice. After rains, like we had recently, it could be quite dangerous. I reached out to Visitor Services and they were very friendly and helped me choose a safe time to attempt the hike. Last weekend, water levels were over 11 feet, but today when I crossed, there were more than enough exposed boulders and rocks to stay dry while crossing. They also gave me this link to monitor water levels, which I found very helpful, maybe you will as well!
