Loved this hike! Hiking through the burned forest there was so much beauty with all the different trees and the views were amazing. We stopped frequently to just admire it all. Trail was in good condition but once we hit snow we definitely needed hiking poles and yak traks. The last mile and a half was slow going through the snow and there is no trail to see but the view from the top was just wonderful. To be able to see so many mountains surrounding you just took your breath away. Going down was a bit quicker and there were a couple of episodes where we found ourselves sitting in the snow but it was all worth it. It was windy and colder at the top but managed to grab a bite to eat tucked in some rocks. We used All Trails app to help find the trail at times which worked great for us. To top it all we only saw one other person in the distance the entire time we were out. Highly recommend!
