Got to the parking area before sunrise but I didn't feel comfortable hiking by myself in thr dark. Started at about 5:30a. The first 2 or so miles, easy peasy pumpkin squeezy. The false summits, not so much. My knees were not so happy. At the summit, I met Jim Harvey and hiking buddy, Hank. On the way down they waited around to make sure I was ok and wasn't going to get taken out by the heat. It was a very kind gesture. If anyone in this group knows Jim, you can tell him the blonde chick survived! 4 h 20 min actively hiking. 5 h 14 min total… photos, breaks etc.
