This was almost a 24 hour day from the time I woke up and returned to my house. The drive to the trail head from where I live is a 2 1/2 hour drive without traffic. We went through 3 different construction zones and a traffic break by the CHP getting to the trail head just before 6:00 am so it took us 3 hours. The hike was awesome! Very long! The weather was perfect and I once again, have a new favorite trail. I loved the enormous rocks and the sound of the wind blowing through the trees. So peaceful and beautiful there! I was moving more slowly this day because of my allergies but I never let that stop me from my goal. As usual, We met many amazing people along the way. We hiked the last mile in the dark with our head lamps and drove down the mountain in the fog. We even got stuck behind an accident on the way home. So to sum it up.. Traffic there and back was horrendous! The hike was amazing!
