Challenging myself to reach new heights, I posted an invitation to join me on the Six Summit challenge! I was pleased when over 10 women volunteered to join me whenever they can over the next six months, Today was hike number one! For this hike, Five awesome ladies scrambled up Bear Mountain, encouraging each other, waiting for each other and pushing each other to reach the summit. We are all moderate hikers and pleased to have a group to push us to accomplish more challenging Summits!

The conditions were great. We started the hike at about 8:30 in the morning, which may have been about an hour too late. Starting earlier would have been cooler on the decent. The high today was Around 80°. We were back at the car by 1:30 PM. There were plenty of people on the trail, trail is well marked, traffic was light and parking was adequate in the morning. As others have mentioned, there is no shade on the trail so bring yourself a nice cold beverage to have at the end! A great and adequately challenging start towards our goal. Enjoy!
