We drove through Frazier Park and eventually parked at the trailhead at the Nordic Base. The weather was nice at around mid seventies in temperature and clear skies. We made the short hike up to Pinos. We then went down the westside of Pinos into the small valley before ascending to sawmill. We took a long break at Sawmill to eat snacks. We then went down sawmill and continued west towards Grouse to complete the 3-2-1 Peak challenge. The way back was arguably harder then the way in because the last part of the hike involes climbing back up towards Pinos at a significant grade. By the end of the hike, the weather was quite hot. It was maybe in the high 80s at the end of the hike and over 100 by the time we made it to Santa Clarita.
