Awesome way to start peak 1/6 โ on earth day! The hike was moderately difficult, beautiful the whole way. At the top is a view that makes even the Salton Sea look picturesque.
About a half mile into the hike, there is a branch-off trail called โ5 oaksโ (I think). This takes you to the peak as well. It seems a little bit longer, less of a steep incline and more switchbacks, and arguably a better view. But because all roads do in fact lead to Rome, you can take one trail up and the other down.
We loved seeing many dogs on the trail, and brought our own 60 pound hairball, as well. You canโt beat sunny and 75 (and breezy!) for a perfect day to hike.
