Todays hike was good and challenging, mainly due to the heat, reached a high of 100 F. We started at about 10am and finished around 2pm, I’d highly recommend going much earlier to beat the heat, or pack accordingly. Sun shirts, wide brimmed hats, sunscreen and plenty of water and snacks, electrolytes would be great too. The trail was mostly exposed with some shaded areas, very narrow trail with overgrown foliage, make sure to download the trail map so you don’t get lost. Saw a lot of birds of prey right around 1 pm when it seemed like their lunch time which was a sight to see the flying about. Although the heat made things tough it was a beautiful hike with plenty of beautiful sights.
