We had an epic hike today with overcast skies and 50+ degree temps which kept us cool during a mostly exposed loop. We got a 3 for 1 special and summited Twin Peak, Eagle Peak and Mount Diablo! This was a very hard, strenuous hike and I can not stress enough to take the clockwise loop which will save your knees on the descent. The 7 mile climb to Mount Diablo was relentless. Very steep trail with quick elevation gain to Twin Peak and Eagle Peak, followed by steep single track all the way to the Mount Diablo Museum at the summit. We brought 3 liters of water and that was not enough but we were ok thanks to the favorable weather. Definitely the most beautiful and challenging hike I have completed to date!
