Pretty mellow flats and slopes for majority of the hike, dried river beds, some unique wildflowers, lots of lizards, and TONS of bugs. I trail jogged a good portion of the ascent to escape them – I'm sure I swallowed some. The last 0.39 miles was the CRUX! It was quite a burn, I scrambled much of it, using my hands to steady myself. The summit was gorgeous – beautiful panoramic views and a few different summit signs for pictures opportunities. Was an enjoyable morning solo hike. Peaceful, not many people out on this Monday morning.
