This was known as the Finale for our group of +/- 45 people that finished the challenge.  Luckily conditions were not too hot, unlike our Rose peak hike ealrier in the year.

We set off at Monument Trail with 36 in our group, and finished the day with 34.  Even though the temperatures were not too hot, I highly recommend bringing at least 4 liters of water.  There is no other spot to really refill and little shade.  Much of the hike, combined with the climbs at the start – the Shortcut, and the last climb, will drain you quickly of fluids.

The last climb, while not as much of a doozy as the first, seemed to go on foreever, but we finished and finished the challenge!!
