This was a solo hike up what is often described as “the hardest hike in San Diego.” I’m not sure if that’s a marketing ploy or just plain old hyperbole, but it’s not that hard.
It is a rollercoaster route, meaning that there is uphill both directions—always “fun.”
The weather was perfect, though by noon the intensity of the sun was quite noticeable.
The final push to the summit requires some scrambling. Take your time and follow the green trail markers.
