It was a beautiful day in Southern California. The sun was shinning, the deer were frolicking, and I was hiking!
Trail conditions were great. No snow, no bugs, a cool breeze with no wind chill.
Decker Springs was showing the first signs of Spring. Small wildflowers and green patches amongst the remaining fall foliage. The creek was bubbling with icy cold water. The air was damp and cool. A respite from the initial heat and dryness from the start of the trailhead.
At summit, views were amazing. Not too much haze. Was able to view DTLA and The Pacific Ocean.
Descent allowed for beautiful views of the city lights. The crickets began to sing. The bats ventured out for their dusk flight.
Overall, a great way to end a hike.
