Started the hike in the dark, at 6 AM.  Was cool going all the way to the peak.  At the peak, with a breeze, was chilly enough that I put on a jacket.  On the way down, there was enough cover after the saddle that it wasn't that hot.  After I got to the parking lot, that's a different story.  It was in the 90's at around noon in the lot.  Even at that temperature, the hike was comfortable if done in the early morning.

Other notes.  The maples in the gulch about a mile and a half up are turning yellow.   So it's nice to see some fall folliage in So Cal.  The waterfall near the Cucamonga Wilderness sign is still flowing, but even in the 3 weeks since I've last seen it, it has slowed down.  I haven't hiked Cucamonga Peak since last year, and noticed some changes to the trail along the ridgeline after Icehouse Canyon Saddle.  It's not too bad, but care should be taken in those areas.
