My friend Dawn came from Redmond Oregon to hike this 12 miles of 4,000’ incline. Monday was a beautiful day of clear blue sky, temperature mid 70’s at most, gentle breeze to keep us cool, and endless views as far as our eyes could take us in all directions.
This was my 6th trip but first for Dawn. I love this trail very much for the feeing of accomplishment I received at the end. However, the endless incline going in and out make me wish I was back at my car already ☺️
The trip took us about 6 hours and 20 minutes. Dawn’s old boots with poor traction kept sliding. On our way out, she got a blister on her toe. She kept moving like a good soldier ????
There were no flowers yet. The trails were very well maintained. We had a great time.
