It was still 5 mins past 7.00 am on Saturday and there was hardly 4 or 5 parking spots left on the Antelope road, before I parked on one. So I had to walk 3 quarters of a mile to the Stanford Parking lot trail head. As I frequent Mission peak I was aware of the hassles of parking. There was a pretty dense fog when I started from the trail head but half way up it opened up to the blue sky and a pleasant weather. I was fortunate to capture a stunning rainbow circle on mid way ! I guess once in a lifetime moment to see such a miracle gifted by nature. You can see the snap that I captured in one of the images.
As always (with Mission Peak) there were lot of hikers. But I decided to take the less crowded and strenuous Peak Meadow trail 🙂 ! Did comes across a few beautiful Turkeys, the grazing cattle unhindered and the mountains were showing up to the vibrant Spring green just before it goes brown within a couple of weeks. The area surrounding the peak was so crowded that I could notice the hikers from quite far away and once up on the top it looked like as if there was an event going on :). But it was good to see young and adults coming out to hike and keep themselves healthy and fit during the pandemic. Anyways quickly snapped a few photos and had my snack bar before heading down back to the parking lot. Once again it was one of those wonderful spring hike and will always remember the beautiful rainbow !!
