I will preface this with the fact that I am getting over a cold, and I was super excited to be back on the trail.  Granted, it was only a week since my last hike .. I was itching to get back on the trail! Soo anxious that I threw caution to the wind with my pre-hiking preparations and ended up getting Elevation Sickness at about 10,200 ft .. but I made it to the top!

The trail was actually very easy to follow, and I get lost A LOT. I knew that the day was going to be HOT, so I got an early start.  Due to the time of day, there was a good amount of shade going up to the peak, however the way back was a different story 🙁   I feel like the elevation gain on this trail while intense (4,400 ft according to my iWatch), it was way more manageable than Mount Baldy.  The sights up to the peak were gorgeous and I can see myself trying that peak again before the end of the year so that I can get to East San Bernardino Peak!

The one and only con to the hike is the distance! Oh my goodness.  I cannot believe how LONG it took to get to the peak.  My trail buddy ended up getting us lost twice, which didn't make the trail any shorter 😛  I ended up logging 16.67 miles, and my friend's AllTrails indicated 17.5 miles, so I am sure the truth is somewhere between the two. I was glad that I brought extra water, though carrying it around proved to be a challenge.

I can't believe that I am already at 5 peaks! I feel like I've just started.
