Going back to my favorite time of day, I decided to tackle this little beast around 2.30pm. Wouldn’t be bad normally except we are in July and the heat is scorching even in these areas. So lots of water is needed. Also I highly recommend hiking boots or trail running shoes but with a sturdy front. Not as many rocks as on the Sedona hikes but still. Better not to hurt yourself. The top was serene. Barely anyone around. I ran down a bit because it felt right and that 4pm-ish breeze was everything I needed. 2 more and I’m done. Happy trails everyone.
