The only reason I call it the second coming, is because we did this hike last year, though, my gal-pal and I were SUPER IMPRESSED with ourselves as we hit it hard at 8 am this year and finished about two hours faster than we did last year!

That said, we HUSTLED this trail, and I'm super thankful we've not had to do it in the winter months as I'm fairly sure I would actually fall off the mountain and die.

Anywho, boots on the trail at 8:10 am and we had reached the saddle split around 9:55, for a cool 3.6 miles in under two hours. We weren't trying to be assholes, I promise, just finish the hike in a timely manner – but we did pass just about everyone in front of us on the trail. Don't worry, other hikers, my lungs and energy levels paid dearly for this for the rest of the day!

Had we not been making such good time, I would've stopped to pay attention to a bit more of the beautiful scenery in the canyon – must note to self – would love to rent one of those little cabins someday for a weekend of hiking all of these trails at leisure!

After a short break at the saddle, we were back on the trail and reached summit at 11:30. Just over three hours to the top! MAN, SO PROUD OF THAT TIME. Just a testament to how much keeping consistent with these hikes will make a difference in your strength, stamina, and endurance. Plus, if there's any shot in hell of me climbing Gorgonio, it had to be done.

Love this summit, it's so beautiful and kind of terrifying, so we took some time to relax, take some pictures, talk to some other hikers, and then we did the journey down a bit slower pace so as to not slip off the side of the mountain.

Good day for a Cucamonga summit!
