- Rocky Ridge Visitor Center @ Del Valle Regional Park had some festival going on so parking was almost a mile away from the Trail-head
- Though we got the Ohlone Wilderness Regional Trail Permit through post, you can buy @ Park Entrance.
- Started form Vallecitos Trail as Sailor Camp Trail near the Rocky Ridge Visitor Center was closed due to the festival
- Sign the Trail Registry @ at the junction of Ohlone Wilderness trail after Vallecitos Trail
- The initial trail here climbs steeply. Trekking poles are highly recommended.
- Missed to right turn @ Marker #39 and took a longer route to the peak! This forms a loop in the activity
- Nice spread of wild flowers @ Marker #34
- It was a clear day so beautiful view of the whole surrounding from the Rose Peak!
- The quiet and the solitude was peaceful.
- The terrain is pretty challenging due to the steep grade.
- Met a group of hikers from Folsom/Fair Oaks and a person who completed the 6 peaks challenge, mostly doing back to back weekend hikes !
- Carry plenty of fluid or water filter and enough food!
