  • Tough Short Cut section but otherwise a lovely hike under excellent weather condition including a slight drizzle
  • Carry enough water (At least a gallon per person) as suggested by the park officials at the visitor center
  • Peak is a bit confusing but the area has some kind of tower
  • It was hunting season now and met a young hunter at the peak. Wear bright colors if possible
  • If you cant climb the last uphill stretch from Coyote Creek, a Ranger might pick you up after 5PM
  • Lots of insects/bugs if you pause/stand. Carry the bug repellent
