The trail at beginning and last couple of miles to reach summit were slow going due to backpacks for camping at summit.. everything I heard about the last couple miles being a slog is so true.  This due to the steep sections and altitude.  However we were blessed with good weather that helped us out during moments of suffering haha.

Camping at the summit was a first for me and absolutely beautiful.  Again, whether was great with clear views of Big Bear Lake and Mt San Jacinto.  The sunset and sunrise were amazing made sufferfest worth it!
